I am a twice Married and am Married Now, Grandfather of 7 Grandsons. I am a Father of Five Children. Having said that I have watched over the decades the deterioration of the relationship between Men and Women. And how Governance Feminism has ruined the equity in Marriage. Marriage is as I have posted for years an Adhesion or One Sided Agreement. Men have Accountability and Responsibility and no Rights. Women have protections, privileges and Government entitlements.
This is an unfair advantage that Women have over Men. I would not marry again. And have advised my two Unmarried Sons not to Marry in the US. The imbalance is still growing. The Women folk are not interested in changing the imbalance nor any fairness. So my advice to Single Men, stay Single. Do not Cohabitate. It can be imputed to be "Marriage Lite".
And the Domestic Violence Statutes have been so broadly defined in many States like Rhode Island and NJ, you only have to have known a Woman to qualify for Domestic Violence. If you raise your voice it is Domestic Violence. If you tell her she cannot spend you into poverty it is Domestic Violence. If you tell her she may not hang out with Phil The Meth Chemist or T Dawg the Pimp that is Domestic Violence.
Feminists have succeeded in wrecking any fairness or equity. So the best move is not to play by their rules. Instead opt out.

Khan,
Welcome sir! I'm familiar with your story, but it's always good to hear a refresher. As for DV, you're 100% right. I did a post on my blog about this, and I furnished a link to the NJ State Bar Foundation's .pdf copy of their DV pamphlet. The DV pamphlet can be obtained at any local police station here in NJ. Anyways, the only way to be safe around women is to NOT be around them, sad as that may be...

Yep that would be this one: www.njsbf.org/images/content/1/1/11076/domesticviolence.pdfNote that "emotional abuse" (calling someone names) is domestic violence under NJ law. I must have committed domestic violence in my marriage then (not in NJ) -- because I sure as hell called her every name under the sun when I learned of her affair.
