A MAN who fathered a baby with a prostitute has taken legal action to stop the woman seeking child support payments from him for the child's upbringing. The married man argues the child is potentially a breach of the Trade Practices Act as there was an implied term of "contract" between clients and sex workers that women would take measures to avoid pregnancy. The man - who can only be referred to by the pseudonym "Mr Lilley" - told Federal Magistrate Grant Riethmuller he shouldn't have to pay for the inadvertent offspring given the circumstances of the conception. The man told the court, sitting in Melbourne, he'd had "a consumer transaction" with the child's mother. Mr Riethmuller heard Mr Lilley initially contributed an amount toward the infant's upkeep under an informal arrangement with the prostitute. The matter spilled into court in June after he lost his $140,000-a-year job and fell behind in the payments. The man used the legal action to question whether the sex worker and the Federal Government's Child Support Agency had any right to chase him for money. The magistrate ruled the circumstances of the conception made no difference to the child's entitlements under the Child Support Scheme and ordered the man to keep paying support for the child www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/father-ordered-to-pay-for-child-by-prostitute/story-e6freuy9-1225764979660

His 1st mistake was seeing a hooker, 2nd getting her pregnant, and 3rd giving her his real name/address.
Now, she can quit screwing men so she can start screwing a man. Nice gig, huh?

His biggest mistake was letting her know what his annual salary was so she was able to figure out what would be her share of it for the next 21 years. Without that first mistake, no baby would have been made by that aging hooker who saw her business in decline..

Prostitution is legal in Australia. He probably went to a brothel and used his credit card or paid with a cheque and they got his name, address, work information from that.
Always use a false name, never fall asleep in the same room with a hooker they could get your wallet and information from it, and always pay in cash.

True, yet it is impossible to know one's annual income just from a credit card. He must have flashed his 140 grant-a-year salary to impress the bedsheet lady and probably confided to her that he had a sick wife (that was in another news), etc. Surely, had the dearie known that the poor bugger would lose his $140 K a year job 1 year later, she wouldn't have played dodgy with latex protection on him. Another bugger would have been targeted instead...
