If you're a person with money, it still surprises me that others consider Canada a spot to expat to.
Mind you, I've lived here all my life, so it's easy to see the bad.
I live in Alberta in particular. Grew up close to Edmonton, then Edmonton after age 18 & now Calgary for the past 12 years.
Long winters, high taxes.
The only thing holding me here is the shackles of mortgage/job.
I plan to move away as soon as my part-time venture becomes stable & profitable.
I am so glad I never married or had children..

Why dont you sell the house and move to Brazil? In time, my friend. In time.. The key lies here: Do you know lots about Brazil? That country really isn't on the radar for me, but I've got a Brazilian/Cdn friend who loves Fortaleza and pops down once a year.

Belize would sound good to me. Many expats live there. I have friends who spend time in Mexico every year. They love it: it's nice and warm. People are great and the cost of living really low.
If the North American union becomes a reality , though, it may "feminazi-ize" quickly: the virus will spread fast.
But if you're single and childfree, and remain so, the world remains your oyster: you may chose to live wherever you want. As a single male with no children responsibilities you do not risk divorce or any of the shackles that plague men in the West. In other words, you are beyond reach. They can't catch a lose electron...

Toronto seems to be a very nice place... to get the hell out of...!
But, tell me: what's so bad in T.O.? I've been many times in Toronto and didn't see anything wrong: the only thing people talk about is money. Am I wrong?
But that was a few years ago.
You could chose Montreal, but then again, there's the language issue...
And there is absolutely no pressure to marry here: everybody (or almost) just cohabits. Serial monogamy is the norm here and nobody sees a problem with that. Why? Because in case of break up, the c/s is much, much less. Men here have learned that marriage is the road to destruction and bankrupcy. It goes like this: divorcing married men are routinely taken to the cleaner. Separating single men go pretty much scot-free. That's why the female movement is trying to get the laws changed... But many women are afraid that if the gov does something stupid, a full score of men will abandon their g/f and go on a "Time & Material" only.
Besides, you don't get punished if you are late in c/s or even if you skip them completely. (if you are single). This way, men are rewarded for avoiding marriage. Isn't that cool? Why don't you come and take a look?
Do you like "La dolce vita"? Then maybe this is the place for you...
